Cheese Sauce

Ingredients

2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp salt
1 dash white pepper
1 cup milk; room temperature
1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese; shredded

Directions

1. In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour, salt and pepper until smooth.

2. Gradually whisk in milk . Bring to a boil and then lower heat and cook stirring until thickened, 1 to 2 minutes.

3. Remove from heat, stir in the cheese a handful at a time until all cheese has been used and sauce is smooth and creamy.

Serve immediately.
