Barbeque Sauce

Ingredients

2 cups ketchup
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar; tightly packed
2 tbsp molasses
2 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp Tabasco sauce
1 tbsp commercial barbeque rub; or use Barbeque Rub
2 tsp liquid smoke
1/2 tsp black pepper

Directions

1. Combine all ingredients in a non-reactive saucepan and bring slowly to a boil over medium-high heat.

2. Reduce the heat to medium and gently simmer the sauce until dark, thick and richly flavored.

3. Transfer the sauce to jars and store in the refrigerator. It will keep for several months.
