French Toast

Ingredients
2 medium eggs
1/3 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp cinnamon
4 slices brioche bread; or whte bread
2 tsps butter
maple syrup; optional
Directions
1. Preheat cast iron griddle on medium.
2. Combine eggs, milk, vanilla, cloves and cinnamon in a small baking dish and whisk together.
3. Melt 1 teaspoon butter on griddle.
4. Dredge bread slices in egg mixture on both sides.
5. Place bread slices on griddle until browned, then flip and fry the other side.
6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 for the other bread slices.
Serve with maple syrup.
