How to Fry an Egg

Ingredients

large egg
1 tbsp butter; or fat of your choice
kosher salt; to taste
black pepper; to taste

Directions

1. In a small nonstick over medium heat, melt butter(or heat fat).
2. Crack egg into pan.

Sunny Side Up:
3. Cover with a tight fitting lid and cook 3 minutes, or until white is set.

Over Easy:
3. Cook 3 minutes, or until white is set. Flip and cook 1 minute more.

Over Medium:
3. Cook 3 minutes, or until white is set. Flip and cook 2 to 3 minutes more, until yolk is slightly set.

Over Hard:
3. Cook 3 minutes, or until white is set. Flip and cook 4 to 5 minutes more, until yolk is completely set.

4. Remove from pan and season with salt and pepper.
