Ingredients

2 lb ground beef
2 cups onion; chopped
1 qt water
16 oz tomato sauce
1/2 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp garlic powder
4 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 oz unsweetened chocolate
2 tbsp vinegar
1 bay leaf
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp salt
4 drops Tabasco sauce

Directions

1. Combine ground beef, onions and water and simmer together for 30 minutes.

2. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer, uncovered, for 2 to 3 hours until thickened.

3. Refrigerate overnight. Remove bay leaf.

4. Cook thin spaghetti as directed.

To serve, put spaghetti on each plate. Cover with heated Cincinnati Chili. Sprinkle with lots of shredded cheddar cheese. (Traditional "3 way")

For "5 way" add a layer of hot kidney beans and fresh chopped onion prior to adding the cheese. Serve with oyster crackers.
